'We had been shooting the same scene all night and the last of the cocaine Rusty had picked up from The Turk in Echo Park had worn off. The actors were complaining about lubrication and pretty soon we were just going to have to settle for day for night. I was just about to change the magazine when the Maserati came over the hill, headlights off, jumping the curb and speeding straight through the set, running over Tonya’s legs and crushing Bo against the Doric column.
Though part of the lens had shattered into my left eye, I could still make out the figure inside as the white car peeled out in reverse and went back over the hill and I’m pretty sure it was a panther.'
